As my children grow older, it has come to my attention more and more that we are living in Generation Y Not?  Why can’t I have a new phone, why can’t I go to the mall, why can’t I have a Facebook account.  The “Y” Factor seems to be a new reality show that I live daily.

The other evening my son had an after school ice skating event to attend, about 20 minutes from home.  Rather than driving back and forth four times in a two hour period, my daughter and I stayed at the rink, with a multitude of other parents and siblings.

About a week ago, my teens and I went on an outing to our local mall.
I typically am not a huge fan of malls, they’re overcrowded, overpriced, and over ridden with obnoxious teenagers that have been left to their own devices.  However, on this particular evening it served a purpose so I ventured into the abyss.
