There are times in our lives when we have to sit down in that metaphorical bus stop in time and have a think about things. Because in our pasts (yours and mine) are the tools that we can put to work in our present. To objectively look at our experiences  is critical to our role as parents and caregivers.

When I was a Nanny in Kent, England, I worked with a family of three children.  A baby girl aged 6 months, a boy aged 5 years,  who was slipping through the cracks, and a beautiful precocious vibrant little girl aged 10. Their parents worked in London which was over an hour on the train so they left for work at exactly 6. 05 am on the dot, and returned back to the family home about 8pm at night. 14 hours later. Hence the nanny.
